Webinar Gender-Based Violence and Access to Justice During the Covid-19 Pandemic
Today DCAF hosted a webinar on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. The webinar treated the topic of GBV and access to justice during the Covid-19 pandemic, with a particular focus on the Asia-Pacific.
It featured a variety of speakers on the topic, and a roundtable with presentations from various national perspectives. Albrecht Schnabel (Head of DCAF's Asia-Pacific Unit) and Cristina M. Finch (Head of DCAF's Gender and Security Division) respectively welcomed participants and discussed the significance of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. Moderated by Upasana Garoo, the roundtables saw input from F. Abdulla for the Maldives, R. Khanijo for India, I. Kwek for Malaysia, J. "Apple" Oreta for the Phiippines, A. Amaral for Timor-Leste, and B. Jigmiddash for Mongolia.
