Second NWG Meeting in South Korea

The second NWG meeting in South Korea was held on 17 February 2020 at Korea University. It was attended by 10 attendees, representing government, research institutes, academia, and the armed forces.

Over the course of three sessions, participants discussed the activities that took place in 2019, discussed issues that should be discussed in South Korea's national working group meetings over 2020 (including the conference to celebrate the 70th anniversary of women in the Korean military), and discussed various other issues. Six suggestions for follow-up activities were identified, ranging from prosecution reform to the role of women in peacekeeping.
