First NWG meeting in Pakistan

This Monday marked the first meeting of the NWG on SSG in Karachi, Pakistan. The meeting was attended by six representatives, with backgrounds in civil society, academia, and research institutes.

At this introduction meeting, the discussion centered around the need for specific meetings on the significance of cyber security, the absence of standard operating procedures, and the discussion of unknown threats, like the Internet of Things. It was decided that future focus will be on issues that affect citizens, promote participatory governance, improve the standards of civilian law enforcement, and the promotion of cybersecurity measures.
